How did Gateways prepare you for your future?

Gateways helped me refine my study strategies for medical school. This was so helpful in being able to not only do well academically but also be able to pursue my extracurricular interests in medical school. 

I was able to start research one month into medical school, became a leader for a research community, and having the time to work towards getting certified to be a Spanish speaking physician in the future (recently just helped give vaccines in a rural area in New Mexico where they predominately spoke Spanish). 

What advice do you have for current/future Gateways Master of Medical Sciences students?

Do not stress about the million things to do, you have a great support system ready to help you along every step of the way.
