Please refer to the information below regarding the steps you will need to take to secure your seat in the
Brown University ScM in Medical Sciences Class of 2026.
Please attend to the following items:
Your acceptance depends on the following contingencies:
- You must continue to make satisfactory progress in all courses in which you are currently enrolled and successfully complete all admission requirements prior to matriculation. This includes:
- Submitting an official copy of your final transcript certifying that all required coursework has been completed and any degrees have been conferred prior to orientation.
- Submitting an official MCAT report. This links to our FAQ, and under "Are test scores required?" are directions for obtaining an official MCAT report to email to MMS@brown.edu.
- You must be able to meet The Warren Alpert Medical School ScM in Medical Sciences Technical Standards for Admission, Continuation and Graduation. In order to secure your acceptance, you must certify that you have read and understand the Technical Standards for the ScM in Medical Sciences, sign the form and return it to: MMS@brown.edu. If you have any concerns regarding your ability to meet these technical standards, please contact the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education at the Warren Alpert Medical School at 401-863-5777.
- You must consent to and successfully complete a criminal background check to be eligible for full acceptance and matriculation in the ScM in Medical Sciences Class of 2026. We have partnered with Barada Associates for this service. The fee is $33.00.
In order to secure your seat in the ScM of Medical Sciences Class of 2026, beginning July 14, 2025:
- Please accept or decline this offer of admission within one (2) weeks of receiving your acceptance letter by completing the electronic response form on your activity page (SLATE). If we do not hear from you by this date, your conditional offer of acceptance will be withdrawn.
- A non-refundable deposit of $500 USD (via credit card) is also required at the time of submitting your acceptance of this offer in order to secure your seat in the class. The deposit will be posted to your student account toward tuition and fees.
